How can you help the Group?
There are many ways people are involved with the Group. A few suggested ways of supporting the Group are described below.
Use The Cochrane Library as a reference in your clinical practice, research and personal healthcare.
Get in touch: If you are a statistician, doctor, health professional, parent of a child with epilepsy or patient with epilepsy our Cochrane group is relevant to you. Please note your interest and send your comments, whatever they might be.
Write a review: You may be a health professional with an interest or a question that needs answering on behalf of your patients - why don't you consider writing and maintaining (regularly updating) a Cochrane systematic review? This might seem a bit daunting if you are not familiar with the world of statistics, medical literature, meta-analysis and other technical matters. However we will give you our full support throughout the review process. Click here for further details.
Handsearch journals: The Cochrane Collaboration is a world-wide organisation spread across many subjects and medical specialties. We aim to handsearch various journals, conference proceedings and electronic databases of medical literature to ensure that all controlled trials are listed as such on The Cochrane Library. Anybody can become a handsearcher, and comprehensive training will be provided if you are interested in volunteering for this role.
What questions would you like answered? Whether you have epilepsy yourself, or care for a person in a personal or professional capacity, there may well be questions that you would like answered. We are very keen to ensure that the Group addresses questions that are of burning interest to the community, so please contact us with your ideas.
Spread the word: Tell your colleagues, your friends, your parents, your doctor, and your specialist clinic about the Group. Subscribe to The Cochrane Library - the first stop for high quality information and evidence in healthcare.
