Consumer involvement

With effect from Issue 4, 2000 all protocols and reviews that are published in The Cochrane Library by the epilepsy group are refereed by one of the group's consumers (to ensure that they are easy to understand and are relevant to other consumers). The group has produced guidelines and a referee checklist to be used as an aid by our consumers when refereeing protocols and reviews.

In addition, the epilepsy group has produced a glossary (which was developed in consultation with our consumers) to try and explain some of the terminology that is used in some of our reviews.
People with an interest in epilepsy e.g. a person with epilepsy or a carer, who would like to become involved with the epilepsy group should contact the Managing Editor at the group's editorial base.
